A bill to legalize online poker was drafted back in 2012 but never materialized and there wasn’t another attempt to regulate it ever since.
Sports betting was strictly prohibited in any shape or form in Mississippi but as of August 2018, it’s been legalized but only permitted if wagered at land-based casinos.
It’s a start, and sports fans who want to try their luck can head down to Tunica or Biloxi to place wagers on a number of sports but for punters to benefit from competitive odds.
