WinView Compared to Other Casinos
What is WinView?
WinView Games is a sports prediction platform that differs from your average daily fantasy sports site.
At WinView Games, you don't build a roster and try to predict your players' performance during a full week. Instead, the competitions are match-specific: you answer a series of questions before the game and also get to make predictions during a live match. You can put your money where your mouth is and decide, how many points you want to risk on a single prediction.
There are many different playing modes, ranging from free contests to small paid pools and bigger real-money tournaments.
WinView is all about reading the game and predicting what will happen next. When you play at WinView, you can earn bragging rights over your friends, and take home some extra rewards too.
In this review, we explain how WinView works, who can play it and whether it's a good product. Read on!
WinView's Pros & Cons
Pros
Both pre-game and in-game predictions
Free and paid contests
Widely available in the US
Cons
Limited payment methods
Fewer leagues than most DFS sites
How do you play at WinView?
There are two ways to play: pre-game and in-game.
In the pre-game mode, you get a set of questions before the game, answer them as best you can and watch the game, hoping that your predictions come through.
In the in-game mode, you get a constant feed of questions as the game unfolds: e.g., whether LeBron James will shoot a three-pointer in this quarter?
You will earn points based on how well you predicted the events. The player who scores the most points wins the pool and rakes up the winnings.
At WinView, there are both free contests and paid contests. You can enter existing pools of players, or create your own and compete against your friends.
In each competition, you have a set budget of points. You can decide how many points you want to risk in each prediction, based on how certain you are of the result. For example, you can spend 250, 500 or 750 of your total 5,000 point budget on predicting which side will score the next goal.
In addition, every outcome has a points multiplier: the situations where you can make a prediction aren't always even odds. One possible outcome may have a considerably higher multiplier than the other, statistically more likely option. However, when you can correctly predict such a situation and put your points on the line, you can get a significant edge over your competitors.
Where can you play WinView?
WinView is widely available for players in the US. The free-play version of WinView can be accessed from all 50 states.
However, some states don't support entering paid contests. In practice, this means you won't be able to deposit money on the platform or enter the competition with real money rewards if you're physically situated in one of the states where WinView isn't allowed.
Here's a list of states where you CAN'T PLAY at WinView:
Arizona
Iowa
Lousiana
Michigan
Montana
Nevada
New Jersey
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vermont
Washington
How to sign up to WinView
When you enter winviewgames.com, you are taken to the welcome screen. From there, you can sign up using your Facebook account or email address. You can also use a temporary guest sign-in feature to take a look around.
On the account creation screen, you'll need to enter the following details:
Player name
Email address
Password
You'll also need to certify that you're at least 18 years old and that you accept the Terms of Service.
After you click on the Create Account button at the bottom of the screen, you're almost done. You should get a verification link to your email and after clicking that, you're able to enter the free contests.
To enter paid contests, you'll also need to deposit money on the platform.
WinView Games Promotions
WinView has a few different types of bonuses available: one for new depositing players, and another for users who refer their friends to play on the platform.
Below, we look at these in more detail.
Promo Code
At the moment, WinView doesn't feature a special bonus that can be unlocked with a promotional code. Both the signup and referral bonuses work without a bonus code.
WinView Games Signup Bonus
In 2022, WinView welcomes new depositing players with a very nice 200% / $200 signup bonus. When you make a deposit, WinView doubles it with bonus money, up to $200.
For example, if you deposit $50 of real money, you also get $100 worth of site credits. If the real money funds you deposited run out, you start to play with the site credits.
You need to use these bonus funds to enter contests and play through the bonus only once. Otherwise, there are no wagering or rollover requirements you need to meet before cashing out. Compared to many DFS and sportsbook bonuses out there, this one is pretty solid.
In addition to the new player signup bonus, WinView also has a referral bonus. When you get your friends to sign up and deposit at WinView, you both get a $20 bonus. The bonus unlocks when your referred friend spends at least $20 on WinView Games.
WinView Games No-Deposit Bonus
At the moment, WinView doesn't have a no-deposit bonus.
Types of contests in Win View
WinView offers two main contest types: pre-game and in-game.
In pre-game competitions, you make predictions about the game before the match and see if they come through.
In in-game contests, you watch the game and get to make predictions about specific situations as the match unfolds.
These are then divided into competition formats, including:
Head to Head, Winner takes all
The top 3 double their money
Top half wins
When you open the WinView app or web version, there are several events in the calendar. Once the match approaches, the contests become available for entry.
When you open a match in the calendar, you see the available competition types. Each match has pre-game contests, but some also feature in-game competitions. Different competitions have different player pools, entry fees and payouts. However, the more players there are, the harder it is to end up on the winning side.
Leagues You Can Bet On
At WinView Games, you can make predictions on the games in the most important professional sports leagues in the US. These include:
NFL
MLB
NHL
NBA
NCAA
All of these feature both pre-game and in-game predictions. In addition, WinView has mixed martial arts (MMA).
What makes WinView different from DFS?
WinView is a bit like daily fantasy sports, but with a slightly different twist. It also borrows some elements from live sports betting, creating an exciting competition of skill and sports knowledge.
WinView is a match-specific prediction platform. Whereas daily fantasy sports are daily or weekly contests, at WinView you try to gauge what will happen in a single event or even in a single quarter, inning, period or half.
Payment Methods Available at WinView
WinView doesn't offer a huge range of banking methods to top up your account and cash out the winnings. In fact, you can only use the major credit cards, Visa and Mastercard, and the online wallet PayPal.
For Visa and Mastercard, the minimum deposit is $10 and the maximum is $500.
How is Customer Service?
If you run into trouble, need help or want to ask questions, WinView has a support team on hand. You can reach them via email, or use the in-app messaging system available on the website and in the iOS and Android apps.
The email address for WinView's customer service is: [email protected]
Is WinView Legit?
Yes. Founded in 2008, WinView Games is one of the longest-operating sports prediction sites. It has a solid reputation and offers its services legally in all 50 states. You need to be at least 18 years of age to play.
If you want to enter the paid contests with real money rewards, you'll also need to be within the state borders of one of the participating states. You'll find a list of excluded states under the heading Where can you play WinView?
Our thoughts on WinView Games
WinView Games is an interesting product that combines daily fantasy sports, traditional sports betting and watching live sports with your friends.
The platform differs from other DFS sites and it takes a little effort to wrap your head around the new concept. However, if you have at least some background in sports betting and especially placing live bets when the match is already on, many of the things should be very familiar. In addition, WinView has a pretty thorough on-page guide on using their platform and how different competition types work.
For us, having those pre-game and in-game events with different odds made a lot of sense. We also enjoyed the fact that you can decide how many points you can spend on each prediction. If you're not 100% sure about what will go down, you're not forced to take stupid risks.
WinView Games offers a great social experience and gives you another reason to watch the game more attentively. When you beat your sport-loving friends or complete strangers in a contest that's all about reading the game, you've earned your bragging rights and the associated rewards.
However, as a betting product, WinView Games isn't perfect. The platform takes a hefty 10% cut. For example, if there are $100 worth of entries in a contest, WinView only pays out $90 in winnings. That's understandable, since running the software and having professionals make odds for the predictions isn't free. Still, many actual sportsbooks have a slimmer margin.
At the moment, real sports betting isn't available in most states, so WinView Games offers a pretty solid alternative with an appealing social dimension.
