Semi-realistic Graphics That Demand Attention 

The vivid graphics depict a lush field surrounded by trees, a waterfall, high mountains, and an Aztec temple. The golden reels show tribal statues, with the symbols perfectly fitting the ritualistic look of this slot.

A totem pole with a floating chest on top of it is on the right side of the reels, with jungle sounds in the background. You can enjoy lively and tribal music that makes you feel like you’re walking through a rainforest towards Aztec celebrations.

Besides the standard symbols, the reels contain a relief sculpture in gold and green stone that’s the wild. Golden coins will also fall on the reels, which created engaging gameplay for me as I tested the slot.

During the free spins, the reels change to show the inside of the temple. Fires spark in stone braziers, giving the screen an eerie red glow. It’s not too much of a stretch to imagine a ritual taking place as you spin the reels.

This slot has multiple special mechanics, though only two real bonus features. If you like to play a slot with familiar features, then you’ll love the free spins and cash symbol mechanics. The gold coins are cash symbols containing values between 0.50x and 50x your bet.

Only the money collection symbol, which is also the wild, can collect the cash displayed on the coins. If there are two or more money collection symbols, then each will separately collect the cash and award the total to you.

The wild can also award a random multiplier between 2x and 50x, which will apply to the collected cash values. Five or more money symbols landing on the reels will trigger the free spins.

You get nine free spins, and the winning amount of the money symbols will be the start of your progressive feature. This is where the chest comes into play. Anytime money symbols land on the reels, the total of their value is added to the chest. 

Then, anytime you land a wild, the chest will award that value as a win, along with any multiplier the wild can carry. If another five or more money symbols land on the reels, you receive an additional three spins. While it’s no progressive jackpot, it’s an interesting feature I enjoyed witnessing.

However, it’s safe to say that this won’t necessarily be the case at the most reliable UK casinos. Most likely, you’ll have a lower maximum bet, which can vary depending on the operator.

Does Aztec Treasure Hunt Stand Out in My Opinion?

While this slot doesn’t have a unique theme, its design is appealing. If you like good-looking graphics and free spins, then look no further. The semi-realistic graphics show a vivid image of what you can expect from the Aztec civilisation. 

I would prefer to have scatters instead of five coins triggering the free spins, but otherwise, I have no major complaints. I would recommend this slot to UK players who like the theme.
