How did I find the Gameplay?

The first thing I noticed is that there’s a lot of stuff going on in the grid. I took my time and dipped in and out of the paytable to get some clarity. This revealed a betting range which is based on ‘EGT’s’, which amount to 1 EGT= €1. The minimum wager is €1, which is higher than most online slots. I think that the graphics and design are eye-catching but the whole game does feel a bit outdated. The symbols give a little animation if they form part of a winning combo but other than that things are flat. The soundtrack kicks in when you win and this is a dramatic tune which helps add to the immersive feel.

This casino game does give some interesting player features which I enjoyed. I got to stop the reels before they reached their natural end. This added a bit of control to my testing rounds. The turbo spin is super quick so take care with it!

Versailles Gold: My final thoughts

Fortunately, you don’t need knowledge of French nobility to enjoy this game. The theme is obscure, but there isn’t another slot like it which added some intrigue for me. The maximum win is a huge draw at a cool €100K and then you have the added bonus of scooping one of 4 jackpots. These can be anything up to €200K!

I thoroughly enjoyed the free spins round which had a pleasing twist with an expanding symbol. The 4 linked EGT progressive jackpots gave a boost where otherwise this game might have been quite boring.
