Sky Bet Compared to Other Casinos
Sky Bet Bonus
New Sky Bet customers receive €20 in free bets after staking €5 on a single or each-way bet. There are some terms and conditions, but nothing too sneaky! You can use your welcome bonus for horse racing betting, football betting, golf betting, or whatever sport you like - but it has to be a single or each-way bet.
Above and beyond any welcome bonus, Sky Bet is one of the best when it comes to exciting and innovative promotions. Every day there’s something new on offer, whilst old favourites like Jeff’s Super 6 continue to be a hit with punters - it’s free to play, and you can win up to £250,000 by predicting six correct scores.
Sky Bet Bonus Code
As is increasingly the case, you don’t need to enter a bonus code when you sign up with Sky Bet. To get your welcome bonus, click on the relevant box when you make your first deposit.
If you’re already a customer with other Sky Bet services like Sky bingo online, you’re not eligible for the welcome bonus. So if you’re signing up for the first time and like to play slots, top casino games, or bingo online, as well as betting, you might want to see if Sky Bet’s sister sites offer a welcome casino bonus that suits you better.
VIP Programme
The Sky Bet Club rewards loyal customers with a range of benefits. If you bet €30 a week, you can choose from the following: a free €5 bet, 2 x €3 Free BuildABet, 50 free spins of selected Sky Vegas games, or a €6 in-play free bet. Note that you must opt-in to be part of the Sky Bet Club. It’s also worth checking out the daily promotions available to all punters.
Games
Sky Bet probably has the best game coverage of any online betting site. I counted nigh on 30 top-class sports, so you’re almost certain to find what you’re looking for. Of course, Sky Bet is brilliant for staples like horse racing, football, and golf betting, but it also has full coverage of virtually any other sports you could mention.
The choice and depth are impressive, especially for horse racing, football, and golf betting. But Sky Bet also impresses with its range of esports and virtual sports, where it’s way ahead of the curve. Finally, Sky Bet offers an entertaining range of novelty/speciality bets covering various lotteries, TV, music, film, politics, famous people, and important events.
Live Casino
Sky Bet provides a direct connection to some of the best live casinos. Sky Bingo has you covered if you want to play the best bingo online. Sky Vegas has all the best casino slots. And Sky Casino delivers a fantastic selection of real and virtual games for Irish casino players.
Sportsbook
Sky Bet has one of the most great sportsbooks of any online betting site. The choice of bets is almost too good, since you might find it hard to choose between all the different options! From singles to a 120-bet Super Heinz, from build-your-own-bet to Yankees, and from accas to live sport betting with cash-out, Sky Bet lets you play the way you want to play.
Sky Bet on Mobile
The best compliment I can pay the Sky Bet mobile app is that it’s as good as the online experience. Available for both iPhone and Android, it’s brilliantly laid out, gets you to where you want to be easily, and allows you to place bets quickly and easily. In other words, it’s everything you want from a mobile app. The live streaming, frequent boosts, free games, and regular promotions are all welcome touches, too - plus, you can access favourites like Sky bingo online.
Unsurprisingly, horse racing and football betting feature strongly on the app. But I find it’s really good for many other sports, especially for virtual sports and golf betting.
Payment Methods
Sky Bet accepts a fairly limited amount of payment methods compared to the competition. Your options include Visa, MasterCard, Electron and Solo debit cards, GooglePay and ApplePay. PayPal is no longer available to new customers, so Sky Bet doesn’t accept bank transfers. The minimum deposit amount is €10.
Sky Bet Withdrawal Time
Withdrawal times with Sky Bet vary between 2 and 5 working days. But if you sign up for Sky Bet’s Fast Withdrawals service, that time drops to no more than 2 hours. Note that additional verification information may be required on occasion. If you’re an existing customer with PayPal on your account, you can expect payment within 24 hours. The minimum withdrawal amount is €10.
Customer Service
If you have any issues with Sky Bet, you can contact them by phone, live chat, Twitter, or Messenger. Sky Bet wants you to check out its extensive FAQ section first, as it doesn’t list these options when you click the help button. That said, the FAQs section is very well laid out, is easy to navigate, and does answer 99% of any queries you might have. But I can’t be the only one who would prefer to have all the contact options listed on the help home page.
Sky Bet Licence
Sky Bet is licensed and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commissioner for customers in the Republic of Ireland. The UK Gambling Commission protects northern Irish customers. Because of gambling regulations, you can’t use your account when you’re not in the UK or Ireland.
Problems With Sky Bet
Right from the start, Sky Bet has always offered a premium betting experience. However, there are a few issues that need addressing, in my opinion. I’d like to see all contact options displayed prominently on the help page: they’re buried. More payment options - especially PayPal - would be helpful.
I know of a few people who complain about the slow speed of the verification process, both for initial registration and large payouts. Finally, Sky Bet is part of the Flutter Group, which owns other brands like Paddy Power, Betfair, and Pokerstars. If your account is suspended with them, you may also be denied access to Sky Bet.
Sky Bet FAQs
Here are the answers to the most common questions asked about Sky Bet.
Registration with Sky Bet is pretty much par for the course. You have to enter standard details like name, address, mobile, email, date of birth, PIN, and security questions. Just remember to choose the Republic of Ireland when you’re entering your address and select euros as your currency.
After that, you’re directed to the deposits page for card details. Remember, you can only use a debit card, as credit cards are no longer accepted. You then need to provide two pieces of ID for verification purposes, in the form of a passport, driving licence, ID card, utility bill, or bank statement.
Withdrawal times with Sky Bet vary from anywhere between two hours and five working days. It’s a no-brainer to sign up for Fast Withdrawals for better service.
Sky Bet is part of Flutter Entertainment, one of the world’s biggest betting companies. Flutter features many of the best-known gambling brands, and its global presence and sheer size underscore its credibility and security. Sky Bet is fully regulated and licensed, making it 100% legit.
