When I first played Sizzling Eggs online, I wasn’t sure what to make of it. The title of the game suggested that it was about eggs, and I was predicting a slot about food. That idea was further highlighted by the fruit symbols on the reels.

However, that’s not what Sizzling Eggs focuses on. The eggs relate to dragon eggs, which appear in the logo of the game. The background depicts a scorched wasteland, which is clearly where the mythical beasts reside. Tying everything together in the game is its soundtrack, which is appropriately dark and mystical.

I’m always impressed by the graphics and animations included in Wazdan’s slot releases. A top developer when it comes to these features, which is one of the main reasons all the best online casinos carry their games. 

Visuals aplenty for a stunning setup

Even though the theme was a little confusing to me on first loading the slot up, it quickly became apparent what Wazdan was trying to put across. The stunning graphics depicting the background and the reel setup also extend across to the symbols on those reels. Each one has been burnt and charred, with grey, almost metallic crystalising lava wrapping around them.

I felt so immersed in Sizzling Eggs for this reason. With the mysterious, adventurous soundtrack enhancing this effect further, it all combines to assure you of an action-filled gaming session.

You can just imagine wandering through the scorched wasteland included in the background of this game. As you walk, you come across three dragon eggs, which have been affected by the intense heat. They’re starting to crack open and reveal what is inside them – dragons, of course! What do you do now? Pick them up and carry them away or wait and watch as the creatures hatch?

It's a compelling enough storyline for the game to have and it did make my experience a good deal more fun. However, the symbols on the reels don’t particularly reflect what that theme is about, considering they are fruits. This is in contrast to many other slots utilising a dragon theme, including 24K Dragon by Play’n Go, Dragons of the North Megaways from Wizard Games and Guns and Dragons by Popiplay.

As you spin the reels, certain special features may trigger in Sizzling Eggs. Special symbols can randomly appear during the base game, for example. These may include additional features, which are active in base game mode.

Scatter symbols are represented by the gold star, and drawing three or more of these will activate up to 30 free spins. In this round, Collector symbols can appear on the top row of reels. If this happens, it is assigned a random countdown value of up to 10. With each spin, the Collector symbol accumulates all values from the Cash and Jackpot symbols on the reels below.

Why do I think Sizzling Eggs stands out?

 It’s a shame that the maximum you can win from playing is as low as it is because something higher would make the gameplay that all-important bit sweeter. Sizzling Eggs would also benefit from some more paylines than the basic five it includes. 

Despite this, you can still have a good time spinning the reels. I particularly enjoy the Collector symbols that come into effect when free spins are active. They can lead to a nice boost for your win balance by the end of the round.
