I must say that I was instantly impressed with the Piggy Bonanza slot machine when I loaded it up. The bright colours hit me right away, and this is enough to put a smile on any player’s face. Gameplay and features

The overall design of this online slot is very simple to navigate around. All the relevant buttons are below or to the right of the game grid. You only need to use the + and – buttons at the bottom to customise your bet per spin. Ensure you’re selecting a bet that caters properly to your bankroll.

Piggy Bonanza has a standard 5-3 reel layout with each reel spinning once in a round. There are 243 paylines and standard wins are collected by receiving the same symbol or a combination of symbols in consecutive reels. Bonus rounds and cascades

The heart-shaped box of chocolate is this slot’s scatter symbol. It takes four or more of these spinning into view to trigger 10 free spins for you to play through. During the free spins round, dropping three or more scatters onto the grid results in you receiving an extra 5 free spins.

There is also the multiplier symbol, represented by the jar of cookies. This features a value that can be anywhere between 2x to 100x. It only appears when the free spins round is active. Whenever you form a win in Piggy Bonanza, the symbols included in the combination disappear from the grid. The cascades then occur, resulting in the chance for further wins to form. This was solid if not slightly disappointing in my mind as anything over 96% is considered good. The game also has a high volatility, so you must ensure that you place appropriate bets. You may experience several non-winning spins, one after the other. So, your wagers need to cater to this. 

It also features a maximum potential payout of 6,853x your stake. That’s above the average, although it still remains a little lower than I would like personally. The slot documentation also states that you can choose a wager of between €1 and €50 per spin, which is quite a narrow range. I would say this would cater to a casual player, but if you’re a high roller or a penny slots enthusiast, I advise another slot.

Mobile players will be happy to see that Piggy Bonanza is optimised for mobile play. I used my Android device to access a casino to play the slot, but you can also use an iOS device or a tablet.

While the graphics weren’t sacrificed, I was disappointed to see how cluttered the interface looked, as the desktop features had all been placed much closer together as opposed to reworked appropriately. This wasn’t a massive drawback but it did mean I preferred desktop play.
