History of Gambling in Malawi
Gambling in the country was made official after the Gambling Act in 1996. That was when the Malawi Gaming Board (MGB) was formed, followed by the National Lotteries Board (NLB), which controlled the national lottery.
In 2001, the government felt the similarities between the two organizations and their functions. That's why a merger occurred, and the Malawi Gaming Board and Lotteries Authority (MALGA) was formed. Currently, all games of chance in Malawi are regulated by MALGA.

MALGA controls, oversee, and regulates all gambling activities across Malawi. It issues licenses to the operators, conducts inspections of the machines, and ensures fairness in all forms of gambling.
MALGA is also responsible for maintaining all lottery-related activities in the country. The country has its national lottery. Players usually go for this one rather than any other self-proclaimed best online lottery.
