My first impression of Lucha Maniacs

I tend to set high expectations when trying out new online slots. If you’re curious about what I thought the first time I saw Lucha Maniacs, here are two of the most appealing factors of the slot. 

Packed with animations

I knew that Lucha Maniacs would present a vibrant look, but I didn’t think the slot would open the game with an engaging cutscene! As soon as I loaded the slot, I watched the fighters slowly walk up the ring before they faced each other. The cinematic experience made me want to know more about how the storyline works!

Thematic features

When I played, I expected a lot from this Yggdrasil slot, by way of how it would implement the Mexican traditional wrestling format into its game. This is why I was surprised to learn that fighters appeared not only as symbols but also as a way for players to get bonuses. What bonus features does the game have?

Lucha Maniacs has two bonus features: The Poster Bonus Game and a Free Spins bonus. If you notice the Bonus symbol in the shape of the fighting ring, that bonus symbol is the key to both bonus games. 

The Poster Bonus Game is a feature that will activate when two Bonus symbols land on the base game reels. When the feature activates, you’ll see four posters displaying the fighters included in the storyline. The small animations are relaxing and give more life to the overall design without messing up the layout. The upbeat music also provides a good experience alongside the visual aspects. 

The base game was enjoyable for me, especially the Poster Bonus game. I also appreciate how Yggdrasil designed the Poster Bonus game to look like players must choose a fighter to support, and the winning fighter gives the biggest bonus: the Free Spins game. 

The downside is that most of the slot’s features are pooled on the Free Spins game. Besides the Bonus Poster game, you won’t encounter any other extra offerings. However, the Free Spins game is packed with boosters that would give you a higher chance of hitting big without spending for the spins.
